The team leader is generally a member of the team who provides guidance, directions, instructions, and leadership to a team. Also, he supports and has ultimate responsibility for the outcomes of the team. The leader often works within the team, as a member to see all the strengths that would be used to achieve team goals. It is one of the many necessary leadership skills he needs to have to be an effective team leader. As such, the success of a team leader is often measured in terms of both the cohesiveness of the team as well as producing some tangible outcome. (ORGANIZATION DEVELOPMENT JOURNAL, 2000). Leaders set goals for their team's and drive them towards the fulfillment of their vision or include the team in the mission planning process and inspire them to find the path to achieve the team's vision collectively. The team leader also has to filter received information from an external source of information and provide relevant information to team members. (Forbes, 2019). Also, the leader has to be open to new ideas from team members, build trust between team members, consult with key team members, eliminate disagreements between them where any problems can be identified quickly and resolved quickly, set a behavioral code if necessary.
