Lukiškės Square.

My name is I study at Vilnius University in creative communication. Today I would like to introduce Algimantas Lelešius's project on Lukiškės Square. The memorial offered by Algimantas Lelešius is a composition consisting of nine small architectural elements small pools located in the entire square of the Vytis Cross. Each of the nine symbols of this cross symbolizes one century Lithuanian statehood from the thirteenth to the twenty first century. This memorial is intended to remind everyone who died in the battle against Mindaugas' times to this day and remind Lithuania of the most important events of previous centuries in the attractive form. It is a space for recreation, memories, history, tourism and training.

Historical events of each century symbolize the shape of sculptural basins and drawings on their bottoms with symbols and ornaments characteristic of those epochs and events. Both in summer and winter they are highlighted in special lighting.
