„The Martian“, an American science fiction film, was released in the autumn, 2015. This film is directed by Ridley Scott and it is based on a novel „The Martian“, written by Andy Weir in 2011. The main role of an astronaut in Mars is played by Matt Damon, a famous American actor.

It is worth to mention that the special effects in this film are magnificent without any doubts and will leave a lasting impression to the audience as mostly the action is in Mars. All actors are really well chosen for their roles. What is more, the film is full of scientific details, which are accurate, therefore, the survival of Mark is not science fiction, but an interesting application of real science.
