„Hacksaw Ridge“ - Film Review
The film Hacksaw Ridge is set in World War II times. The story begins in 1944 when young man Desmond Doss understood that he need to serve his country. Strangely, my friends weren’t very satisfied with the film. In a conclusion, for me, it was a great film. It was well made, packed with values and twists.
The action hero is an American field medic Desmond Doss who thought, that killing was unnecessary – he was first soldier who refused to take a gun in his hands. Even when the times were rough he never had a second thought about his believes.
The story begins in 1944 when young man Desmond Doss understood that he need to serve his country. Half of the film is about his struggles in military camp. I enjoyed that. It was something new about this type of films – the real beginning of war.
