There are a lot of arguments for and against homework. 74 percent of the Lithuanian students don’t like doing it. However, I think that homework is a necessary and important part of the school life.

On the one hand, some people argue that doing homework is very bad. It takes a lot of time to do, because every teacher says “my subject is also important, it is not worse than others”. So every teacher gives a lot of homework. As a result, a mountain of homework appears. Some parents can’t afford practice books, so their children don’t do homework, and they are bullied for being poor. When they don’t do homework they don’t have a chance to consolidate knowledge and then they can’t get a good mark and pass exams.
