Economy: means all the work that human beings perform in order to produce things we need and use in our lives. We need to organize and perform our work(Production) and then we need to divide up it (Distribution). Production involves: goods and services. But the economy is a fundamentally social activity because we rely on each other and we interact with each other.
In the early days of human civilization; our work consisted of hunting animals for meat, gathering wild produce and constructing simple shelters. NOMADIC: moving according to the weather and animals migration In this primitive economy, they were COOPERATIVE, in that everyone in a family or clan grouping worked together (non-hierarchical) AGRICULTURE caused social and economic changes: Permanent settlements Generate an economic Surplus Class divisions within society slavery.
This a short review of economic history. Yet is still conveys some crucial lessons that are relevant today: Human beings learn by doing These ongoing changes in productivity and technology tend to changes in the way work and society is organized.
