Utenos trikotažas (UT) is one of the largest Lithuanian producers of circular jersey textile products, exporting over 90% of its production abroad. It was established in 1967 in the Soviet Union, and privatised in 1993. Currently it employs about 780 employees. In 1998 it produced its first ecological products for the Swiss market, and it currently holds most of the internationally available environmental certificates for textile products.

Marytes Melnikaites Knitwear and Haberdogs' Association in Utena was opened in 1967. After the release of independence, the company launched a new stage of activity. In 1993 Utenos trikotažas became a private equity company.
The old trademark was created in 2000 as a company logo and perfectly matched the format of the branded stores of that era. However, focusing on developing the image of the products and brand, and not on the establishment of own trading points, so there was a need for renewal. Ambitious plans have also led to the creation of new brands.
The brand Utenos trikotažas factory brand has been highlighted with the word "Utenos" in order to improve its memory in international markets. All Lithuanian knitwear products for both Lithuanian and foreign markets are marked by a modern graphic solution, the word "Utenos" illustrating two lines of syllables.
The English Utenos Trikotažas website uses a different mark. The combination of grapefruit and yellow chosen for the logo and the corporate style reflects renewal and innovation.
Utenos Trikotazas AB is a Lithuania-based company engaged in the textile industry. The Company operates in three segments: production of knitted articles; production of working clothes, and retail in knitted articles. Products include women’s and men’s wear and undergarments and eco-friendly clothing. The production cycle is composed of knitting, dyeing, finishing, cutting, sewing, inspection and packaging. The Company’s sewing lines produce numerous items of knitwear products.
