First I’m going to tell you a brief history of how the wheel was made, then I’ll describe the changes in society after the creation of the wheel, followed by the usage of wheels now. There’ll be some time for questions and answers once I’ve finished, so please hold any queries that you have until the end.

First, the history. That’s what I’m going to talk about now. As we all probably know, the wheel is a circular frame of hard material that is capable of turning on an axle. However, the exact details of the so-called invention are actually unclear but historians have guessed that the first made wheel was created by the Mesopotamian civilization at the end of the Stone Age. The wheel was one of the technological advances which gave rise to the Bronze Age.
