The answer to the question is yes. On February 4th, 2021 Fiat Chrysler and Peugeot shareholders vote to merge, creating world's fourth-largest car maker. Shareholders of both Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and Peugeot parent Group PSA approved a 58 billion dollars merger creating the world's fourth-largest automaker, Stellantis.

Such groups that merge increase revenue, reduce costs. The company wants to stick to the market. As we can see when the „Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi“ have merged they became very successful in the market and became the second largest car maker.
