Suicide in Lithuania  has become a significant national social issue.

Suicide like in every country is a big problem and every year in our world level of suicide growing up and we can‘t stop it. Acording to list by the World Health Organization (2015) Lithuania is at fifth place by both sexes rank and second by male rank. And that is the main problem of Lithuanian social issue.

Another argument of suicide in Lithuania is the difference by both sexes suicide level. Acording to a web page on WHO ratings number of suicide by male and female gender is a big difference. About 952 of 100.000 in all age group consists of male gender and in female it‘s much more lower, only 186 of 100.000. On the strenght of Onutė Davidonienė, director of the State Mental Health Center, says that the difference of this number is alcohol and drugs.
