As we know already, boilers are used for house heating and without a reliable heat source we would not generate any heat in the system. The most common boilers used today are oil-fired and gas-fired, both of them have a different install and safety regulations. For example oil-fired boilers always require a special kind of flue and must be stationary, but on the other hand gas-fired boilers can be either free-standing or wall mounted and don't require any kind of special flue for the system. Oil-fired boilers must have some kind of oil storage tank which has to fit strict safety regulations as it is pretty dangerous if it hits fusible links to the boiler. But for example gas-fired boilers can be installed where there is a suitable gas supply for example the kitchen. Gas-fired boilers need to have two permanent air vents which are communicating either with outside air or with a room which is ventilated, these vents are used for removing toxic gases that occur during the boiler's combustion process.

In comparison, gas-fired boilers are more eco friendly because they use gas fossil fuels which is the cleanest source of energy, on the other hand, oil-fired boilers are using oil which is the biggest air pollution fossil fuel out there.

This source of heating is questionable because: the heating might not be sufficient, it doesn‘t have any water heating compatibilities, it uses electricity or gas as the main heating source, it often needs regular servicing and cleaning.
