Personal Reflection
Personal reflection.
Not only was I acquainted with the new environment, but also I completely changed my understanding of education. Before leaving Lithuania, I attended a huge public school, which had more than 1500 students, but then I moved into a small International school with less than 100 students. Here, I received a chance to find my own voice and to familiarize myself with other cultures. Amongst those I met, were Iranian people, who gave me a deeper insight into the US-Iran relationship; I also met Korean lads, who gave their own perspective on the never-ending Korean Peninsula conflict. Hearing stories and opinions of people with different backgrounds has been more beneficial and educating than simply reading articles by official analysts and observers. It also helped me comprehend and appreciate the beautiful complexities of the modern global culture
