Threats Poverty: Even though poverty is a problem in South Africa, they do comparatively well.

Opportunities: Lower production cost will open up new customer groups (South Africa included in MEA (Middle East/ Africa).

Threats: mining of rare earth minerals (for batteries) is done under horrible circumstances and often times involves child labor.

There will be an increase in Demand for mid priced smartphones The smartphone penetration rate will grow 53% year –on year Research show that there will be 929.9 million smartphones users by the year of 2021 Only this year there was a 45% increase of smartphone sales.
