“I, Tonya” is certainly not a traditional biopic, as there is no clear true story, every narrator, Tonya herself, her husband and mother, is biased and untrustworthy. The film turns the grim real life story of Tonya Harding in to a comedy of sorts, which some people didn’t appreciate so much, as Tonya was a victim of abuse for most of her early life.

I believe everyone should watch this film, even if you’ve never had any interest in figure skating. However, the film deals heavily with themes of abuse, so if you’re sensitive, you should stay cautious.
