People often do not take everything into consideration before bringing home a pet. They forget that together with a cute fluffy creature comes not only the advantages, but the disadvantages too.

Having a pet can be absolute fun, but it also has cons. First of all, taking care of a living creature will take lots of time. Pets tend to make a mess all around them, especially when they are still young. So get ready for extra cleaning. Furthermore, forget about spontaneously leaving everything behind and going on an unplanned vacation, even if it is just for a days. You will either have to find someone who will take care of your pet while you are gone or take it with, what sometimes is not an option.

Despite the disadvantages there are the advantages too. To start with – a person may never be bored or lonely. Pets, such as dogs, are well known for being a `man`s best friend` and are also a great source of entertainment. Moreover, studies have shown, that pets are great at relieving stress. Just playing with them or stroking their fur calms one down and helps to relax.
