Essay About Movie: Hacksaw Ridge
Essay about movie: Hacksaw Ridge.
Hacksaw Ridge is a movie about a soldier who won the Medal of Honor without firing a single shot. Hacksaw Ridge is a movie about a soldier who won the Medal of Honor without firing a single shot. My expectations for the movie were it to be a typical movie about war where people would just fight, but this movie has proven me wrong. Hacksaw ridge follows the story of Desmond Doss, a private during World War II. in Okinawa during the bloodiest battle, he saved 75 men without firing or carrying a gun. He was the only soldier to go in the war without carrying a gun, because he was very religious and believed killing was a sin. Because he refused to carry a gun, he chose to be an army medic. As an army medic, he single handedly evacuated the wounded men from behind enemy lines, and even saved his general from a grenade. Because of his bravery he was given awarded by the medal of honor. This movie is based on true events, that actually happened in real life. That’s why it’s so catchy to watch, and you can ‘t get bored while watching it.
