Substance abuse and addiction is a big problem not only in poorly developed countries, but strongly developed countries as well. It causes increased criminal activity in our society and poor mental health. Nevertheless, this issue can be solved successfully with the right tools.

The main issue that is caused by drug abuse, is various criminal activities, but mostly stealing. This is usually due to the need for the substance that is abused, and lack of money. While people with this kind of issue have a lack of motivation and discipline, and at the same time it becomes difficult for them to find a proper and long lasting job which results in poor income, then stealing becomes an option. Another problem is that addiction affects mental health because all addictive substances have a direct impact on human "mood" chemicals. With poor mental health, other problems arise like moods problems and the inability to use the full potential of the brain.
