One of the biggest car parts manufacturer BOSH have produced these high pressure fuel-pumps (1.4pic.-1.5pic.) until these days: CP1, CP2, CP3, CP4. Maximal fuel-pump pressure is around 1100-1800bar but it depends on the type. High pressure of spraying the fuel give us opportunity to achieve fuel spraying form of the mist. Fuel in this for mix with air very easily. That‘s why Common Rail systems is not very demanding quality glow plugs. With a common-rail injection system, high-pressure fuel is pumped through and stored in a rail that feeds many injectors at once, instead of through a pump that directly feeds an injector.
My topic „Common Rail Technology“ is quite broad, because it has lots of aspects. But i tried to explain everything narrowly and simply. And I think I have succeeded. Main parts of this system were explained precisely. I‘ve laid a finger on all the subtopics I wanted. I‘ve learned some new information about this system such as emissions and it‘s advantages. This individual project helped me to understand the operating of this system.
