Antarctic.
Antarctica - fifth in size among the world’s continents. Its landmass is almost absolutely covered by a huge ice sheet. Antarctic – the driest, the coldest and the windiest place on earth. Antarctica is about 14.2 million square km in size, and thick ice covers about 98 percent of the land. The continent is separate into East Antarctica and West Antarctica. East and West Antarctica are separated by the long Transantarctic Mountains. Lying almost concentrically around the South Pole, Antarctica’s name means “opposite to the Arctic”.
Over the past 50 years, the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula has been one of the most quickly warming parts of the planet.
