Amazon founder – Jeff Bezos Company was created in July 1994 Amazon launched as a website that only sold books. The name „Amazon“ was chosen because Bezos liked that the company would be named after the largest river in the World. In first month of its launch Amazon had already sold books to people in all 50 states, but the company was dramatically under-staffed.
