When men meet one another they usually shake hands, but good friends or family use hugs for greeting.
When women meet one another they shake hands or gives a light touch on the forearm, but friends and relatives kiss on the cheek. But if you meet a Mexican woman, you should give a slight bow and shake hands only if she extends her hand first.
