The way around looking up information and simply communicating with people has extremely changed with Internet. On the one hand, googling and using online dictionaries has immensely helped us and made our lives easier, however, it also kind of discourages us from studying languages other than english, since it‘s the most spoken language on the internet(around 25%). In todays world, there‘s actually no need to know a lot of facts or remember tons of information, we can google most of it. Actually that‘s where the importance of knowing foreign languages is. The way I like to look at it- learning a new language opens a new level of the internet- new facts, history, jokes and so on and so on.
