I‘ve chosen Vilnius region. Listed all the resources, analysed infrustructure and made two itineraries where people get to see all the cultural and natural resources separately.
Vilnius region was emerged in 1962. Since 1999 December 20th region has his own herb.
61,3% – polish, 22,4% – lithuanian, 8,4% – russian, 4,4% – bearussian, 3,5% – ukrainean, tatars, jews and other nationalities.
Reserve was establish in 1989 as aim to save save priceless archaeological, historical and natural monuments. In 2004 it was included in UNESCO list. (Object number 1137). On the 1 of the 4 mounds called Aukuro long time ago was throne of one and only king of Lithuania Mindaugas.Nowadays protection zone is about 2554,2 ha.
It is easy to reach by bus from cities such as Vilnius, but unfortunately bus goes to Kernave only twice a day. As for invalids it is not a great idea to go, just beacause there is lots of stairs to take to the top of the hill. Reserve is mostly famous for them. As far as public toilets are concerned, there is zero of them and all the cafes are not open regulary. Web page of this reserve is well organised and visitors can find all information they need.
Named as regional park in 1992 with the aim to save Asveja lakes landscape, the natural ecosystem and cultural heritage values. Protection zone is about 750 ha. Park is still growing. The park forests cover about 60% of area, swamps about 8%, lake – 17% . The most beautiful place – Asveja (Dubingiu) lake.
Web page of this regional park is well developed and person cal find all informatin which is needed. Near the park Directory of this park is located, where everyone can buy excursions and get additional extra information if needed. As for buses, there is no information to find about how to rich Dubingiai – place where this park is located. It is writtem that there is no buses available in two moths terms at least.
Park area covers more than 100km^2. Forests cover about 96%. Park was established in 1992 to preserve especially valuable middle reaches of the Neris loops system , valuable wooded valley of the Neris biocenoses , abundant cultural heritage. Recreational Park area is connected to the Saidžiai village and Verksionių forest. St. George's Day (Jurgines, Jonines) is usually celebrated in this park.
In the park there are excellent conditions for water tourism and fishing. Tourists can stay at Sidaronių village. Web page is well developed and visitors can find useful information about different activities, excursions, events and even buses timetable. There is public toilets and parking lot which is very great and rare.
