Pros and cons of vegetarian diet.


One of the most important benefits of vegetarian diet is the lowered risk of chronic diseases. Meat-heavy diets often lack essential nutrients and minerals that are found in fruit and vegetables. Increasing the variety of fruit and vegetables may result in lower cholesterol, can prevent diabetes, heart diseases, and potentially lower the risk of certain cancers by improving your nutrition. But such diet has its own flaws too. There are certain key nutrients that are generally found in animal foods that may be lacking in a vegetarian diet which are crucial for human body. Also, usually a vegetarian diet consists of limited amount of food choices.

A second advantage of vegetarianism - friendly environmental impact. If people ate less meat, the environment would become cleaner and better. This is another reason why you should choose a vegetarian diet. Many vegetarians stop eating meat due to their desire to help our, also because they are against the negative treatment and killing of animals.
