Street music festival in Vilnius.
Every summer, the eagerly-awaited Street music festival welcomes everyone who is creating music, who is playing every sort of music. This festival was created by very famous artist Andrius Mamontavas. This festival was created to show people how many great musicians we have in Lithuania.
In 2017, 4 of July there was more than 50 groups playing live around Vilnius old town. What was the most fascinating that many of them had their CD on sale, so if their music is not yet reachable on internet you could buy a CD. This festival lasted for two days and on the second day you could see new artists. Andrius Mamontavas said that music makes us feel more involved in community. This festival is a big opportunity for unheard band or artist to be seen and heard. Plenty of bands or artists after performing in this festival is well known at the moment.
What made the biggest impression on me is that you hear all those music bands so randomly, there is no map where you can find specific artist or band it’s just a lottery what are you going to hear.
