Interviewing the job holder, as they know what the job requirements are. They know this job inside and out and are the best person to ask as it is coming from the horse’s mouth to say. This will also get their perspective of job requirements and for the company to find out more about the job, what goes well and also what can be improved. Questionnaires are great to ask questions about the job and can see all the results in different terms, this could be done across the company to see what people enjoy about their jobs and what they don’t enjoy, preventing other people leaving in the future. You could convert the results into statistics and then analyse them to see why the person might be leaving the job role.
