Peace Is No Absence Of War

Peace Is No Absence Of War .

That is what I seek to answer with this speech and I intend to do so by looking at the past violence, the improvements implemented which leads to the present day, and whether the improved government achieved peace.

What could be the cause of weakening violence? One important change is the improved literacy and education. And countries which had higher educational attainment in the past are more likely to be democratic today. The reason for that is the fact that improving literacy offers education, education is the cause of a stable government. And what does a stable government attain? It achieves the growth of political freedom, which decreases the possibility of an unsatisfied, rebellious population. That is why democratic governments are much less likely to engage in wars with each other.
