Opinion Essay: School Uniforms
Opinion essay School uniforms.
School uniforms have been a controversial subject as long as uniforms were a thing. It has been debated over the years whether students are affected beneficially or detrimentally by these specific pieces of clothing. I personally consider that uniforms have more disadvantages than advantages.
To begin with, students are restricted to express themselves. By wearing a uniform pupils can find it difficult to be seen as a individual. It takes away the opportunity to use clothing as a way to show off your personality, mood, character or style. In addition, students are forced to look like everyone else and make the school experience far more less enjoyable.
Furthermore, uniforms fail to prevent prejudice. As brutal as it sounds, children always find a way to intimidate someone.
