Also, there is a mandatory military service for men and women. For men, it's 10 years of service after finishing school, and for women, in the past, it wasn't mandatory, but now they have to labor in the military for 7 years after finishing school.

But North Korea is not as retarded as we imagined. They can do plastic surgery in the capital Pyeongyang, they have karaoke bars which are super pricy and surely not affordable for everyone. They have their mobile phone brand, and beauty products as well.

Also, they don't use the same internet that we use. They have their site where they can download and read newspapers, watch North Korean groups perform.
