Buildings are made of many different materials. If we want to be environmentally friendly we choose natural building materials, if we want something defferent or it just couldnt be natural we choose man-made building materials. Nowadays we have a great selection of building materials.

Firstly, I start with natural building materials. Natural building offers a way to construct a home with renewable, ecological and locally available materials. Many of these materials are available throughout the world, so the costs and pollution associated with the transportation of these materials across the country falls. Using natural materials also reduce toxins in the home. Stone is the most popular natural material. It has only to be cut into the shape wanted. There are dozens of kinds of stone. Those used most in building are limestone, marble, granite, sandstone and slate. Wood is another natural building material. There are many kinds of wood to choose from for example pine or oak. Also there are other natural materials: snow, grass, leaves and mud.
