This essay will analyze Marcus Aurelius work Meditations. In the first part of the essay, I will briefly provide who Marcus Aurelius was and then I will move on answering the given questions about virtues and other ideas that were presented by Marcus Aurelius.

Marcus Aurelius Antoninus Augustus (26 April 121 – 17 March 180) was a Stoic philosopher and Roman emperor from 161 to 180. His work “Meditations” is his true legacy to the world. In fact, the whole work was just a private journal, a personal belonging of thoughts that were written to encourage himself in living the best life possible. Just one man’s thoughts on life to remain at peace with one’s self in a world that constantly threatens such peace.
