As the name (Jurys Inn Oxford Hotel and Conference Venue) suggests the main 2 services the establishment provides are accommodation and conference facilities. There is also a 3rd, very important service to the hotel, focusing on residential and non- residential customers- the restaurant. On January 17th the hotel opened Marco Pierre White Steakhouse, Bar & Grill. Marco Pierre is a famous British chef, restaurateur, and television personality. The hotel also welcomes non- residential guests to use their Juvenate Health and Leisure Club.

The registered name of the group is Jurys Inn Group Limited and as I mentioned above, it comprises of 37 hotels in the United Kingdom, Ireland and Prague, which makes the group international.

The group currently has 37 hotels on an international scale. The main shareholders currently include Oman Investment Fund, Mount Kellett Capital Management in partnership with Avestus Capital Partners, Ulster Bank, and Westmont Hospitality group. Oman Investment Fund is a biggest shareholder, owning 50% stake. Mount Kellett Capital Management and Westmont Hospitality Group are both US based investors.

The hotel in Oxford has 220 bedrooms of different sizes over 2 levels, 22 meeting rooms, 1 restaurant, 1 bar, 1 Costa coffee shop, and a leisure club. There are currently 90 employees working at Jurys Inn Oxford Hotel and Conference Venue.

Since the opening of Jurys Inn in Oxford in January 2016, the group invested over £13 million into the refurbishment of the hotel. It is safe to say it now looks nothing like it did a year ago. Every single area has been refurbished starting with bedrooms and conference facilities and the remaining one to be finished is the leisure club. A new bedroom block with extra 72 rooms was opened in November, which is the biggest part of the refurbishment. It allows the hotel to accommodate hundreds more guests, especially business groups on 2-day or 3-day conferences as many of the rooms are twins. The other big aspect of the development in this hotel is the new Marco Pierre White restaurant. The opening attracted a lot of attention from press and Marco Pierre himself arrived to the opening night.

The distinctive advantage Jurys Inn has is the number of meeting rooms. We are a hotel with the second biggest conference centre in the group- a variety of different size meeting rooms allows us to cater for different needs of our guests.

As I mentioned earlier in this report, the start of Jurys Inn took place in Dublin, Ireland. It still remains the place of our head office, which is the home of head managers of marketing, human resources, IT and Executive Committee. Birmingham is the home of our Customer Contact Centre and Shared Service Centre and Sales and Revenue office is based at Watford.
