Internal Combustion Engine

Internal combustion engine. History of internal combustion engine. Advantages of Internal combustion engine Higher efficiency. Compact and lighter. Disadvantages of Internal combustion engine Air pollution.
Higher efficiency. The internal combustion engine is able to create a much greater amount of power than any steam engine, due it’s high compression ratio. Large number of pistons allows for a high-compression ratio.
Fuel consumption. Internal combustion engines use less fuel than others steam engines.
Modification. There is a lot of ways to make these types of engine better if you need to reduce the fuel consumption or increase engine power.
Limited lifetime. Nowadays money is really important, so the engine makers creates their engines with limited mileage. When you reach that set mileage, the engine breaks completely, then you have to buy a new one or search for parts.
