An ethical dilemma is an uncertainty between two decisions that involves two possible moral imperatives, neither of which is acceptable nor preferable. The complexity of an ethical dilemma arises from the fact that choosing one option leads to the disregarding of the other choice. In the routine activities, nurses face ethical issues that compel them to reconcile their professional obligations with their values. Ignorance of the ethics code in the nursing field may lead to a career holder to severe disciplinary charges or malpractice lawsuit. In my nursing career, I have encountered numerous ethical dilemmas. However, the most significant one was reporting an incompetence member in the health team.
