Essay: How Reliable Are Experiments In Psychology?
How reliable are experiments in psychology?
One of the most interesting sciences, which has made significant advances over the last 150 years, is psychology. The main goals of psychology are to study human behaviour, make general laws of human behaviour and explain why the human acts in the way that it does. In order to study human behaviour, psychologists have to firstly observe, do experiments, surveys, and then to come up with reliable conclusions about an experiment. This essay will focus on the link between the experiments in psychology and their reliability. In my opinion, we cannot be absolutely sure about the results of an experiment as the experiment can be too complex, done in uncontrolled conditions and humans can be unpredictable as well. Now, I want to show you that there are both reliable and unreliable experiments throughout the history of psychology.
