Essay: Genetic engineering.

The possibility of genetic modification on embryos has caused a lot of controversies. Some believe that it is immoral and we have to appreciate the value of human difference, others have a strong opinion that it has to be a big part of our future. In my view, genetic engineering will help humanity in a good way because babies will be born immune to various diseases and viruses, with better survival chances in the future world.

There is more than one reason why genetic manipulation could be beneficial to mankind. The main argument is that gene editing could be used to prevent illnesses and diseases that are hard or impossible to cure. For many parents, it is difficult to hear when a doctor tells them that their child could face chronic pain, disabilities, or other health issues. And knowing that your child would suffer in the future means you are taking a risk on their quality of life.
