It is clear as a day, that in every person’s life friends take an important place. Friendship is an extraordinary experience full of discoveries. It helps us grow, get to know the world and reveal ourselves. But a famous Greek philosopher Euripides once said, “Friends show their love in times of trouble, not in happiness”. And this philosopher thought about friends makes us doubt who is friend and who is just pretending to be one.

Personally, I believe that true friends are there and for good, and for bad times. They show their love and support in different moments, no matter what situation we are in. True friends are always ready to protect each other from being hurt emotionally and physically. They always try to help us and support when we are facing difficulties and try to do whatever it takes to make us feel good. As an example, they can just offer their shoulder to cry or just a good strong hug. After all, it is said that “there is more power in a good strong hug than in a thousand meaningful words”. Of course, it takes time and patience to build a strong friendship and achieve trust between two friends, but most of the time it pays off because a true friend stays forever.
