I chose this book, because I am very interested in film industry, I like to watch movies and after that I always read about all cast, directors and so on. So, I read tenth chapter of the book about new Hollywood, which looked the most interesting to me and today I am going to present you five topic about history of Hollywood, challenges making movies, new directors, their works and films that have become legendary.
Gwendolyn Audrey Foster is an experimental filmmaker, artist and author. She wrote a lot of books, including this one, also, she created a lot of movies and documentaries and now teaches courses specializing in film.
Francis Ford Coppola was director. Him well known movies The Godfather (1972) and The Godfather: Part II (1974),The Godfather: Part III (1990) and the Vietnam War epic Apocalypse Now (1979).
Woody Allen began his career as a filmmaker, after a long stint as a stand up comedian and writer, with the clever satire What’s Up, Tiger Lily? (1966). In this movie Allen took an existing Japanese secret agent film and remake it into a wild parody. In all films, Allen functioned not only as director and writer (and often producer), but also the star, handcrafting vehicles that showcased his peculiar talents as a hapless man, unlucky in love, always clumsy and complaining. Allen’s work deepened much more with the romantic comedy/drama Annie Hall (1977). Allen’s most commercially and critically acclaimed movie Manhattan (1979) was a bittersweet romance set against the backdrop of New York City.
