In nowdays world, the tourism industry is expanding year after year. While travelling itself has it’s advantages and disadvantages, I strongly believe that it has a positive effect on an individual as well as a society. In this essay I will explain why.

Firstly, tourism industry boosts the economy of parts of the world that have no other way to make money. If a town has no fossil fuels, no developed industry as well as no agricultural land, then tourism is one of a few ways it can make money to support it’s citizens. Also, the cash obtained from globetrotters can be used to make the infrastructure of a city more pleasant for the tourist as well as it’s inhabitants. For example, Nida, the resort town in Lithuania, makes most of it’s income from Lithunian, German, Latvian and Russian tourist.
