Sumerian civilization. Sumerian. Sumer is the earliest known civilization in the historical region of southern mesopotamia. Location. This particular civilization had a perfect location for agriculture. Because of Tigris and Euphrates the Sumerians were growing wheat. Architecture. Location where. Technology. The wheel, cuneiform script, arithmetic and geometry. Writing. Sumerian writing is considered to be a great milestone. Mathematics. 4000 BC they developed complex system of metrology. Ziggurat.


This particular civilization had a perfect location for agriculture. The surplus of yeld was so big that the Sumerian farmers decided to settle and that is how a few west asian families turned into big and powerful civilization.

Because of Tigris and Euphrates the Sumerians were growing wheat, onions, garlic, lettuce, mustard. Their agriculture on irrigation.

Location, where Sumerians lacked trees, so they were building house type structures with mudbrick. Mudbrick was not ideal for building, reason being it breaks quite easily , so they had to build new houses on top of the ruins quite often.
