Social Media Addiction Essay

Social media addiction.

In my opinion, teenagers do not realise that they are addicted and think that it is normal. Young people spend lots of hours mindlessly browsing only to kill time. They get addicted to updating their profiles and posting new pictures. Many people only post the good things, which do not reflect real life, so we try to achieve unrealistic standards. Furthermore, productivity levels drop as teens check notifications while working and get distracted.

To tackle this problem, teenagers should admit that this is a serious problem. Firstly, they should limit their screentime and restrict phone usage while working. Perhaps setting certain hours when you can use your phone would help.

To sum everything up, I would say that social media is not entirely a bad thing, especially in modern times.
