Soboras Saint Michael the archangel church.
In 1895 september 17th was officially named Saints Petras and Povilas orthodox church and till 1915 august 17th was owned by Russian imperial military agencies. On 1919, August 8th Soboras was decided to be a Kaunas country property and it was named Saint Michael Archangel Church. On 1934 Church was reconstructed.
The Architecture style of Sobers is Roman-Byzantic. It reminds of old Pravoslavs Orthodoxs. This Church has 5 domes and 266 large and small columns. As built cathedral reached 50 meters height. The Soboras was finished in 3 shades of sandstone color. Now about the inside: the inside was designed by Griaznovas, floor tiles were cut from granite and spiral staircase was made of iron, above the altar there are images of two Archangels. The main Altar’s stained glass showed God’s entrance to heaven.
