This port is chosen as a Port of Departure for our ship, and Port of Klaipeda is chosen as a Port of Arrival. At picture No. 2 the route Kristiansand-Klaipeda is shown. According to marinetraffic.com data, route’s overall length is equal to 565 nm.
The shortest way to get through the Danish Straits is going through the Zund Strait, since the Strait allows ships with draft up to 8 m, and ship’s draft is only 4,34 m, allowing the ship to go through Danish Straits in the fastest time and on shortest route possible.
III. b. Cargo discharge and loading places in Klaipeda Port
Ship ‘RIX AMETHYST’ will be discharged at AR ‘KLASCO’ terminal, preferably at Grain Terminal’s berth No. 4, since it is the only berth with ability to discharge and load ships with grain cargo. Also, company’s Grain Terminal is the fastest and most modern bulk cargo terminal out of all bulk cargo terminals in Port of Klaipeda, as the Grain Terminal is fitted with several clamshell cranes. Moreover, the chosen terminal is comfortably and strategically situated near the Port of Klaipeda’s port gate, allowing the ship to rotate or to be rotated with ease for departure.
After discharging, the ship will be loaded with round timber, at UAB ‘Malkų įlankos terminalas’ berth No. 142 — the main reason is that the ‘Malkų įlankos terminalas’ is the only specialized round timber terminal in Port of Klaipeda. After being loaded with round timber, ship will depart from Port of Klaipeda back to Kristiansand Port.

DEMURAGE: EURO 2953,- PER DAY of 24 HOURS.COMMISSION: 3,75% INCL. ADD TO JSC „UAB TRANCE-ATLANTIC“ ON FRT, DEAD FRT AND DEMURAGE.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS: CLEAN DRY HOLDS, FREE FROM SMELL IN EVERY RESPECT, SUITABLE FOR LOADING.
FRIDAY 5 P.M., MONDAY 8 A.M. WEEKEND AND DAY BEFORE TIME USED IN NOTICE TIME NOT TO COUNT.
VESSEL IS FULLY ITF AND INSURANCE FITTED.TONNAGE DUES (IF ANY) IN LOAD PORT FOR OWNERS ACCOUNT, ANY TAXES DUES ON CARGO FOR CHARTERERS ACCOUNT. SAME ON VESSEL FOR OWNERS ACCOUNT.
