Premature Birth.

Any birth that takes places before the 37th week of pregrancy is considered premature. Depending on how early the baby was born he or she may be late preterm (34-36weeks), moderately preterm (32-34weeks), very preterm (32weeks) or extremely preterm (25 and less weeks). Generally premature babies have medical complications, the earlier baby was born, more likely he will have complications. Only fifty percent of the time causes of preterm births are known. Although there are general precauses, in many cases this is an irreversible process.

Babies that were born too early generally have short-term or long-term health complications. Some problems occur right after birth whilst others develop later.
