However, people’s standard of living is closely connected to the emotional state of human being. People are much happier when they face less stress; material possessions make people’s lives easier and more comfortable.

To sum up, consumerism greatly influences society in a variety of positive ways: it creates new work opportunities and a wider assortment of goods and services, which only improve people’s wellbeing.
