Essay: men and women have different tastes in films and TV programs?

In my opinion, men and women usually have different tastes and preferences in films and TV programs. On one hand, our taste depends on age, character and other personal qualities. Both men and women may appreciate similar TV programs and movies, especially, when they are linked to their profession or hobby. What is more, there are films which correspond both – woman’s and man’s preferences. On the other hand, men and women naturally (because of their natural qualities) have different interests. For example, women are more romantic and sensitive while men - self-controlled and serious. Young girls, mothers and grandmothers usually like soap operas, dramas, love stories with heart-warming endings. Cooking, fashion, beauty and healthcare shows could also be appreciated by women. When it comes to men, they prefer sports programs, thrillers or fantastic films. All in all, nowadays a choice of movies and TV programs is pretty wide and corresponds to various interests, preferences and tastes.
