A lot of students don’t know what is a Mediterranean diet. Those who known what is a Mediterranean diet, found out about this from friends, social media. Only 3 students tried this diet. Gladly, more than a half students thinks it is healthy diet.

Figure 2: 78.4% of the people are unaware of the fact that Mediterranean diet lowers the levels of bad low-density lipoprotein cholesterol.

Figure 4: 77.5% of the people were willing to try out the Mediterranean diet for a month after taking this survey.

Mediterranean diet is most commonly known for its health benefits towards heart and cardiovascular diseases. Also, it has been ranked no.1 as the best all-in-all diet. A research was implemented to check whether students are aware of the healthy benefits from the Mediterranean diet. Research used questionnaire showed, that most of them were not aware of the benefits, but after being introduced to them, agreed to try Mediterranean diet, thus spreading its awareness. Mediterranean diet has a number of positive effects on health; therefore, initiatives should be taken to immediately create awareness about the importance of consuming the Mediterranean diet and its benefits in creating a healthy human life.
