In a business organization managers have lots of activities to do. First they need to plan. They plan how to achieve a particular goal. For an example if they want to increase their sales they need to know which steps are necessary to reach that goal. These steps may include increasing advertising, inventory, and sales. These necessary steps are developed into a plan. After that The manager can follow it to accomplish the goal of increasing their sales.

After planning the manager needs to organize his team according to the plan. He needs to select, train and develop the employees to reach the goal.

But the manager needs to do more than that. He must also lead. Leading involves motivating, communicating, guiding, and encouraging all these things are doing by the manager to reach the goal. After that the manager needs to continuously check results against goals.
