Graffiti As Vandalism Essay

Talk about graffiti as vandalism.

Today I am going to talk about graffiti as vandalism. To start with, graffiti is a writing or a drawing on a wall or other surface, most often in public area. As we cannot denied that this is a form of art, graffiti is still considered to be vandalism. Artists draw graffitis on both public and private properties, which becomes costly to remove for taxpayers, businesses and property owners. For ones graffiti is work of art, which causes positive feelings for ones but to others, it is just a destruction of cultural heritage. Talking about this chart, we can see provided data about public property vandalised by graffiti in a big city. We can see that the most damage is made for traffic and street signs there are 166 cases for that. Next on a list is buildings with 120 accidents, newspaper kiosks with 54 and at least are recycling containers with only 22 cases.

However, if we had to talk about graffiti in my local area, there are just a few buildings which were vandalised. For this reason I’m very glad, because I think that graffiti should not be drawn on cultural buildings.
