They both were peacemakers and pacifists. They were the heroes of their nation.

Gandhi started Satyagraha in 1906. He was often arrested for this activity. Satyagraha is  Indian independence movement  for Indian rights.

After many long years, after many protests, after several Gandhi arrests, few Satyagraha and after the loss of thousands Indians, their country finally becomes an independent country from of UK in August 15 1947!!!

In his older age Nelson Mandela joined the revolutionaries of anti- apartheid. He was also a South african political leader.

In the 1990 Nelson Mandel was taken out of jail!!!

After hard days in school, because he was the only black person who was studying, after many arrests due to offensive action with the government and after many sentences to prison, the people of South Africa finally realised that Nelson Mandela is a important man for the country who was fighting for black people, South Africa becomes an independent country from UK in 1994 27 April.
